(May 2, 2010 Halifax, Nova Scotia): Five current or former Manchester Millrat players were in uniform for the East All Star team, which defeated the West 144-135 in the Rogers PBL All Star Game in Halifax, Nova Scotia on Sunday.
Stanley Ocitti scored 14 points in the second half, 9 of them in the decisive fourth quarter as the East pulled away. David Cooper, a last minute addition to the East squad as a replacement for Anthony Anderson, scored 10 points including four thunderous dunks, and hauled down 6 rebounds.
Former Millrats Desmond Ferguson, Eric Gilchrese, and Jamaal Wise combined for 47 points for the East. Lincoln Smith of the Rochester RazorSharks led the West with 33 points.

Saturday kicked off Rogers PBL All Star Weekend with the Legends game which featured Halifax Rainmen CEO Andre Levington, Nova Scotian Premier Darrell Dexter, and other locals against a team including former NBA All Star Michael Ray Richardson and Millrats GM Ian McCarthy. The Legends game was followed by the Three Point Shootout and the Slam Dunk Contest. Rochester RazorShark, Keith Friel, a native of Durham, NH, nipped Ferguson 20-19 in the Shootout. Hometown hero Eric "Air Canada" Crookshank donned a Superman costume and cape and came away the Slam Dunk title.
"It was a terrific event and very organized by the Rainmen staff, everything ran smooth, and everybody had a great time," stated Millrats GM Ian McCarthy, "I'm a little sore from my event but it was all in good fun."
